When

I wrote this to the spider one day long ago.

When you say you are a slave to my words,
don’t you know that I have always
been a slave to yours?

When you respond to my seduction,
don’t you know that I have already
succumbed to yours?

When you feel consumed by the heat of your desire,
don’t you know that I bask
in the glow of your radiance?

When you yearn for me,
don’t you know that you are the one
owning me?

When you lose yourself in me,
don’t you know that I hunger
to feel the warmth of your heart and body
surround me?

When I hear your desperate mewl of need,
don’t you think I ache to fill you
by every fiber of my being?

When you sing your song of release,
don’t you think I feel the very same release,
forgetting my own?

Yes, the emerging properties of Yin and Yang in concert; it is not pieces completing each other, but two wholes creating something new. The sum of the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. I believe the relationship between two people is an entity in itself–conceived, birthed, and nourished by both.

Mmm. What piercing insight on the tango. It reminds me of the Siren and the Sailor, and how neither can be the other and hold the other’s perspective totally, not even for a moment because one has to be oneself. Yet, the bliss that is birthed in concert is pure beyond all else…
